3B with Intel 7120 CPU coprocessor card?

Dear 3B forum,

We might be able to get money that would enable us to do advanced fluorescence microscopy image processing with Intel 7120 card(s) (multiple cards can go in some computers). If you are not familiar with these, see

http://hothardware.com/News/Intel-Annou ... -Xeon-Phi/

http://ark.intel.com/products/75799/Int ... Hz-61-core

You have the source code posted, and while I would have access to very good software developers (who already know how to develop for the Phi card), would the 3Bmicroscopy team be interested in joining this project?

Other interests I have for this card are:
* 3D deconvolution (real time, quantitative)
* spectral unmixing (real time, quantitative)
If anyone in the 3B forum is interested in these as well, you are welcome to contact me here or directly (proposal is going in Friday 12/6).

Sincerely,

George
